Equipping Local Community
Becoming an Agent
Sheltereach is committed to providing Safe and Affordable houses as well as services and livelihood. Having an agent in the local village has a number of advantages. This provides an income for an aspiring entrepreneur who would benefit from business training. People wanting to purchase extension kits and additional house builds would ensure an ongoing income source as well as maintain a higher quality of house build.
Excellent opportunities arise for the local aspiring entrepreneur
Do you have the desire and persistence to see significant benefits take place within your community while generating your own sustainable income? This is not necessarily something you can do on your own. There will be training and strategy partnerships that you will need to pursue to make this happen. Some key elements to ask yourself before starting include:
- Is there a need for better housing in your region?
- Will you be committed to undergo training and supervision?
- Do you know of an NGO who would want to partner with you?
- Are you willing to bring good to your community and generate an
income that brings further benefit and skills to the community?
- Are you a team player prepared to work with key organisations?
Other important qualities would be honesty, integrity and a willingness to coordinate people and their skills.
If you can answer yes to these we are looking for people like yourselves to partner with us.
Would you like to be an agent?
Sheltereach works towards livelihood creating business leaders within the local community.
You must be able to identify the need for housing in local regions and be in contact with local NGOs who partner with different organisations. A local group or NGO may be interested in sponsoring this project and give you the skills to become an entrepreneur.
Once the above has been identified Sheltereach will work with the local NGO and provide the training that will be implemented. After this training is completed an agent's license is granted. You will then be able to run a successful business and income source in your region, greatly benefiting the area. This is sometimes referred to as a social enterprise agreement.
